VitaHealth contributes RM10,000 towards Segambut Food Bank

As part of the Company’s ongoing VCareForYou corporate social responsibility initiative, VitaHealth donated RM10,000 worth of food items to a food bank initiated by Hannah Yeoh, Member of Parliament for Segambut. The programme aims to provide food aid to local communities who are affected by the Movement Control Order (MCO).

“VitaHealth has always been a company who cares. Giving back to the community is a top priority especially during these unprecedented trying times when many people lost their sources of income and struggle to put enough food on the table,” said Beh.

The food bank, which kickstarted on 13 July 2021 at the Taman Desa Segambut Community Hall, has reached out to 853 people from the local residential area and also those who came from areas as far as Selayang, Jinjang, Rawang, Batu Caves and Petaling Jaya.

Through this programme, VitaHealth joins forces with some non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and private donours in contributing food items such as rice, cooking oil, bread, milk, etc. to make up the items for the food bank. Each registered individual received 5 items of their choice.

“We are honoured to lend a helping hand and be a part of this food bank programme to provide relief to those who need it most during these most challenging times. Together, we are stronger. We will continue to make meaningful and positive differences in the community,” Beh added.
