From street dance to live music, performance culture is bringing communities together to move, connect, and recharge. Blending rhythm with mental well-being, Offline 16 launched its Dance & Busking Festival to usher in a new era of unplugged wellness.
The Offline 16: Dance & Busking Festival took place on 12 July 2026 at Tropicana Golf and Country Resort, organised by VitaHealth Malaysia in collaboration with Tropicana Corporation Berhad and Watsons. The festival brought together more than 260 Offliners for a full day of dance, live busking, and movement, proving the best moments happen when screens go dark and real connection takes over.
Eight Hours of Pure, Unplugged Energy
For eight consecutive hours, Offliners of all ages and backgrounds traded screen time for immersive, real-world experiences. The festival opened with a high-energy Zumba and Piloxing session by Sekret Studio, setting an upbeat tone. With phones completely out of sight, Offliners spent the day enjoying pure movement, music, and screen-free fun.
As the day unfolded, the energy surged. A beginner-friendly dance clinic flowed into a high-octane challenge from Team Namja, the 14-member Malaysian all-male crew with multiple championship titles. Offliners danced freely, shed their stress, and made new friends, connecting with those around them before winding down to live busking. The day peaked with an inclusive freestyle cypher, a final, unforgettable jam session.
Beyond the music and dance, mindful activities led by the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA) balanced movement with mindfulness. At a hands-on recycling workshop by Precious Plastic, Offliners even crafted their own keychains from recycled plastic. Rounding out the day were wellness booths offering massage, AI skin analysis, an SPF challenge, arcade games, and board games, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Every Offliner walked away with an RM300 goodie bag of VitaHealth supplements and sponsored treats. With up to RM15,000 in lucky-draw prizes, the day ended on a high note of laughter, sweat, and unforgettable vibes.
Voices Behind the Movement
Dr KS Beh, Chief Executive Officer of Vita Life Sciences (Malaysia & Singapore) and Founder of Offline 16, shared, “At VitaHealth, we are guided by our brand promise, ‘Healthy Life, Happy Vibes’. With close to 80 years of heritage as a trusted nutrition brand, we remain committed not only to delivering quality supplements but also to championing meaningful initiatives that inspire healthier, happier lifestyles. What began as a simple challenge encouraging people to put away their phones and reconnect with life has since grown into a broader mental wellness movement, a core part of our ESG commitment.
Today, Offline 16 is more than just about being offline. It is about embracing self-care, building healthier habits, staying active, and making wellness part of our everyday lives. Our goal is to build a community where Offliners can step away from their busy schedules, connect in real life and experience the joy of being fully present. We hope every Offliner leaves with a fresh perspective, a healthier habit, and a positive change that lasts beyond the event.”
Serena Lim, Programme Director of Tropicana Foundation and Senior General Manager, Group Corporate Communications and ESG for Tropicana, said, “This marks our third year partnering with VitaHealth, and the journey has been truly rewarding, from achieving a Malaysia Book of Records milestone to now inspiring almost 2,000 participants nationwide. More importantly, the impact goes beyond numbers. It is about shifting mindsets, encouraging healthier, less device-dependent lifestyles, and strengthening meaningful human connections.
We aspire to create healthier, more connected, and resilient communities where individuals and families can truly thrive. Anchored on our ESG pillars of People, Planet, and Partnership, Offline 16 reflects our commitment to creating meaningful placemaking, strengthening communities, and building lasting partnerships that deliver positive social impact.”
A Growing Regional Movement
What started as a record-breaking initiative in 2024, setting the Malaysia Book of Records title for “Most Accumulated Offline Hours in a Day”, has evolved into a transformative wellness movement.
With 54 offline hours logged and over 1,905 participants across 10 editions in Malaysia and Singapore, Offline 16 keeps proving that logging off helps people tune back into what truly matters.
